The different compounds constituting the Sealing By
Compression Butyls, are characterized by distinctive and
specific features
The BS646 compound has been designed for small-sized
profiles, its main applications are in metal constructions,
panels, roofing and joinery
In order to be suitable for these applications, the BS646
compound is characterized by a high Probe Tack and a
high Elasticity

APPLICATION

Choose the suitable profile
Unroll the tape until the desired length is reached
Start removing the release liner that covers the
adhesive part of the tape and position the sealing
tape
Carry out a roll-pressing
Press with a roller or a cloth pad

DIMENSIONS AND PACKAGING

Available in rectangular or round cross section
Standard length: from 2 to 20 m
Various thicknesses * and widths are available
Rolls are packaged in boxes

SURFACE PREPARATION

The sealing tape must be applied to a clean,
dry, smoothand dust-free surface
For an application between -5 °C and 0°C,
ensure that condensed moisture is absent on the
surface

STORAGE

The quality and the characteristics of the materials
remain unaltered for a long period of time
However, it is recommended to use the product
within 24 months from production date
The product must be stored in the original and unopened packaging in a dry and well ventilated place
ata temperaturebetween + 5 °C and + 40 °C
Storage above 50 °C may lead to difficulties in
removing the release liner when applying
The product is not affected by frost
